BREAKING: Saints Were Warned And Didn’t Listen, Now Look What This Lawmaker Did

The New Orleans Saints were warned what would happen if they participated in the uncivil protest during the national anthem, and a Louisiana lawmaker just followed through on that promise.

The Saints have joined many other teams in the NFL by kneeling during the anthem. At this point, it appears these players are trying to disrespect the President more than anything else. Any “cause” that Colin Kaepernick started last season seems to have been lost.

Just one day after the Saints disrespectful display, Louisiana State Rep. Kenny Havard announced cutting millions allocated to them. Havard stated that “he wants to cut millions in state tax dollars, exemptions, and credits allocated to the New Orleans Saints, the NFL and any of those groups’ associated facilities that receive funding, The Advocate reported.

Although no set amount was mentioned, a 2015 Forbes report stated that Saints owner Tom Benson was “set to rake in an estimated $392 million from state subsidies through 2025.”

Havard said what patriotic Americans are all thinking, “Disrespecting our national anthem and flag in the name of social injustice is the highest form of hypocrisy.” Havard said he believed in protest, but not on the taxpayers dime. He told the NFL players to do it on their own time.

Rather than give more money to the multi-millionaire entitled players, Havard said, “There are plenty of disabled children, elderly and veterans in this state that would appreciate the money.”

Money is the only thing these disrespectful players understand. When ticket sales continue to drop, and game viewership continues to decline, team owners will start demanding their players to do their jobs instead of showing a complete disregard for the American flag, country and military.

We can only hope that other lawmakers will take Havard’s lead and place pressure on the NFL where it counts – in their fat pockets.
