Reports are surfacing that President Trump and his administration have decided to stop sending military aid to Pakistan.
This decision is just one more way in which President Trump is putting America first! This savings, which totals $255 million, will help ease the pressure on American taxpayers who have been, in the years before Trump came to office, expected to support more and more people who live outside of our borders.
As provisioned within a U.S.-Pakistani agreement, the U.S. can cease sending aid to Pakistan if the U.S. administration determines that Pakistan has not made sufficient efforts to combat terrorists and militants that live within its borders.
Remarkably, even after the vile acts of Osama Bin Laden on 9/11, who was, ultimately, found hiding out in Pakistan and being protected by the Pakistani military, the U.S. had been sending money to Pakistan.
During an interview that Greta Van Susteren of Fox News had with Rand Paul, Paul explained that, in his opinion, a lot of U.S. foreign aid has been “stolen” by other countries and their leaders. One example he gave was Egypt’s Mubarak family, whom, Paul said, acquired great wealth from the money that the United States sent to Egypt.
Paul went on the emphasize that foreign aid is essentially theft by the U.S. government of the American people. As mentioned in a Freedom Daily article, a few years ago, during a presidential debate, Paul pointed out that “… taking money from poor people in a rich country and giving it to rich people in a poor country.”
Essentially, whether one likes the Pakistanis or not, the argument really has become, can the U.S. afford to keep taking money from the people in the U.S.A., many of whom don’t have enough for themselves, and give it to dictators in other countries that actually hate us? Many, including our president, would say no. What do you think? Let us know in the comments section, below.
