Liberal educators have managed to teach our young adults that they have the right to not be offended by anything or anyone. These students are convinced that if anything…anything offends them, it just shouldn’t be said.
This is causing our nation to stall, as nothing can be discussed, no problems solved, no “agree to disagree” in order to move forward. Our Amendments are being stomped on by ultra-liberals for the sake of “kumbaya.”
University of North Carolina-Wilmington Professor Mike Adams let his incoming class know exactly what he thought about that.
Adams addresses the issue of young people being offended by everything and needing safe spaces. He tells his students getting offended is the price we pay for living in a free society.
His speech is sure to “give every liberal student in the class a nervous breakdown,” Adams states. He talks about his grandfather, step-grandfather, and sixth great grandfather all being in the military. Adams states, “These great men did not fight so we could simply relinquish our rights to the enemy within our borders.”
Adams then does what most educators don’t have the nerve to do…he tells the students that if they are offended by him or what he plans to teach, “get out of my class.” Furthermore, if they can’t handle people disagreeing with their point of view and it “hurts their feelings,” then they should “withdraw from the university.”
The end of his letter deserves to be read, and heard many times: “Finally, if this doesn’t work then I would simply ask you to get the hell out of the country.”
Listen to the letter in full, and you will quickly understand why it’s going viral.
